It was so nice to be in New Orleans after 18 long years!
Things I did:
-went on a swamp tour (hence Mr. Guapo down there)
-walked around the French Quarter
-Ate some beignets & cafe au lait at Cafe Du Monde (twice)
-Bought some pralines
-took the trolley down St. Charles Street (pretty pink house, I love you!!)
-had my first Hurricane and a “real” Shrimp Po Boy on Bourbon Street
-ate at Emeril’s (pictures coming soon!)
all in a 3 day period!
I definitely want to go back and explore Bourbon Street (hello, Mardi Gras!), see the plantation homes, and visit Kentwood (britneyyyy) so I’ll see you soon, Nawlins!!
All photos by me!
I’m soooo excited to be making a trip out to New Orleans this weekend (actually leaving in 26 hours to be exact!). BUT….i am the worst packer on earth. Have you seen that girl unpacking after they weigh her luggage at the airport in front of tons of people? That would be me.
If you add up the days in my trip and add one, that is usually how many pairs of shoes I bring with me. I suck at this and am willing to admit it! I suck so badly I decided to make an entire post about packing. Apparently there is a service that packs for you. I need this. Do they work 24 hours a day? Because they are needed at this very moment! Anyways, hopefully I can get it together and narrow down my shoe collection and not bring 8 extra outfits….bon voyage!

I’m so picky about what I need for window treatments so I haven’t had any installed in my apartment! I found a cute pair of curtains at Ikea today and I think I want to use little door knobs as the stay backs! What do you think?
It turns out I am going to New Orleans next weekend! Random I know, but I have family there and I haven’t been since my cousin’s wedding. I was a flower girl so that was a LONG time ago. I’m looking forward to seeing the city and eating beignets.
