I had a lovely brunch at the beautiful Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel for my mother’s birthday.
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous from the striped ceiling to the champagne glasses. The service was top notch as well. While the food didn’t wow me as much as dinner usually does at the Polo Lounge, I still think the tortilla soup and lobster rolls really shined.
They have a jazz band on the patio for brunch, but I think the best room to sit in is the large room with booths.
From top to bottom: tortilla soup, scallops, smoked salmon hash, and summer sorbet dessert.

I used to be an over-medium girl, but soft boiled is in my opinion, the perfect egg. The only way I’ll eat the entire thing. Unlike many friends of mine, I’m a fan of the yolk. You know, the least healthy part of the egg. Because of course!
Today I make soft boiled eggs and a strawberry banana mango smoothie for breakfast.
I found this video (with a great soundtrack btw) about how to cook the perfect soft boiled egg. It worked perfectly!
I read about the Driskill’s Bloody Mary Bar and made it a must-do on my Austin list. They give you your spirit of choice (whiskey) in a huge mason jar and let you fill up on unlimited amounts of bloody mary mix and all the fixin’s including Sausage, Carrots, Olives, Lemons, Limes, Cheese, and all the hot sauces. It was absolute heaven and the perfect treat to have before we sat down for brunch in the cafe.
I had the farm fresh quiche and it was the best quiche I’ve ever eaten. I couldn’t believe how delicious and fresh everything was. Highly highly recommended.

I spent the last few days in Austin, a city I fell in love with 9 years ago but hadn’t been back since. Every single meal (seriously) was mind-blowing.
Our first breakfast was at Tamale House East. I had the Migos Breakfast Taco and Potato/Bacon/Egg Taco. They were both absolutely incredible. They also have Mimosa Carafes for $14. The atmosphere was cute, hip and lively on a Thursday morning.

I had brunch at Le Petit Paris over the weekend and it was Very Parisian to say the least. I’m fairly certain that everyone I encountered there was actually French. The decor is stunning but not over the top.
I ordered the scrambled eggs with truffle, a croissant and mimosa. The scrambled eggs were delicious and the truffle shavings were generous. Service was amazing. I can’t wait to go back!
Once upon a time I was really hungover in Vegas and my friends has already left to White Castle. I took matters into my own hands and had brunch by myself at Giada. The Lemon Pesto Grilled Cheese is insane. The side of arugula salad is a nice fresh touch to the heaviness of the sandwich.
Giada is not overrated. Giada is not overrated. Giada is not overrated. You just ordered the wrong thing. 😉
The pizza here is out of this world. Last time I ordered vodka pizza with pepperoni, this time I had to try the smoked salmon pizza (mascarpone, onions, mozzarella, tomatoes, dill) and it was phenomenal. The rice balls are also a must.
